We had all of our gear loaded and were about to take off when our photo leader told our pilot that he had heard that planes couldn't land at the lodge earlier in the day. A good thing our pilot checked because the area was fogged in and we wouldn't have been able to land. No instrument landings. If the pilot can't see the ground, he can't land. We wound up unloading and spending another day and night in Anchorage. Typical in Alaska.
